WorldSkills has termed the year 2021 the year of innovation. Given the year’s limitations posed by the pandemic, World Skills South Africa, (WSSA) and all WorldSkills Member Countries will be pushed to find new creative ways to connect with young people and inspire them to learn a skill. It is for this reason,
among others, that WSSA will be running a number of mini-campaigns in between activities that are going to be taking place leading to the World Skills International Competition Shangai, China in the year 2022.
The first mini-campaign for the month of March is themed #ChooseToChallenge. The campaign is centred around the International Women’s Day celebration taking place on 8 March 20221. We choose to challenge because a challenged world is an alert world and from the challenge comes change.
The content we will share seeks to challenge the status quo, celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.
Ntsako Shidzinga’s fist is raised high in solidarity with women. She chooses to challenge the stereotypes against women and calls out inequality.
